Create An Extraordinary Year (Part 2): Visualize It
Last week I wrote about how our saboteur thoughts can block us from creating an extraordinary year for ourselves.
We discussed how the first step is to shine a light on those saboteur thoughts, question them and come up with three positive alternate scenarios for each negative thought. Read last week’s blog here.
Step 2 - Visualize It
The next thing I like to do is VISUALIZE myself at the end of the year having lived my extraordinary year. The more detailed I can get, the more I’m able to embody it and get really excited about it.
Questions I like to ask myself:
Where am I?
What can I see, smell, hear and touch?
Who am I with?
What do I look like?
How am I feeling? Mentally and physically?
What have I created or experienced?
What memories do I treasure most?
What impact have I had?
Take at least 5-15 minutes to really get into this and feel it in your body.
Consider writing it down on paper or capturing it in a voice memo on your phone so you can revisit it whenever you like for inspiration. If you’re artsy you can play around with creating a vision board.
Doing this exercise helps you connect with the positive energy of your goal and feel all the wonderful feelings you are looking to create ahead of time.
So set aside some time today to treat yourself to this beautiful experience.
