How Life Coaching Has Helped Me And Can Help You

I’ve been thinking a lot about all the ways life coaching has positively impacted me and helped me achieve my goals and dreams so far.

Below are my initial thoughts. Over the months I’ll share specific examples and stories to illustrate each one. Your path might look different based on your lived experience - we are all beautifully unique. Love to hear what ones resonate with you most.

25 Ways Life Coaching Has Helped Me:

  1. Clarity: Clarify my dreams in a safe and creative space that is judgment free.

  2. Awareness: Shine the light on my thoughts and feelings, and the actions and results they create. Take ownership of them and learn to choose which ones I want to keep.

  3. Mental Fitness: Identify obstacles and pre-empt my self-sabotaging habits more often by strengthening my mental fitness.

  4. Healthy Habits: Build healthy habits that support my goals.

  5. Take Action: Get unstuck, take more action, and procrastinate less. Break goals down into small manageable steps.

  6. Overcome Fears: Move through my fears and self-doubts, and build my self-confidence.

  7. Plans: Develop realistic plans and schedules that work for ME, optimizing my time and energy.

  8. Authenticity: Show up more authentically because I’m more aligned with my values.

  9. Accountability: Be more accountable because I have a personal coach checking in on me. Learn to be my own best accountability buddy too.

  10. Fresh Perspective: See things through a different lens.

  11. New ideas: Come up with new ideas that I otherwise wouldn’t have. Think outside the box.

  12. Perfectionism: Let go of perfectionism. B- is good enough for now.

  13. People Pleasing: Stop people-pleasing. Saying no is kind to myself and others.

  14. Self-Worth: See my self-worth more clearly. It is innate. I don’t have to earn it, i’m born with it.

  15. Failure: See failure through a new lens. It’s normal, embrace it. Key to my success.

  16. Celebrate: Celebrate my wins and achievements more often. I’m my own best personal cheerleader. I don’t wait for others to recognize the awesome things I do.

  17. Comfort Zone: Step out of my comfort zone by compassionately challenging me.

  18. Intuition: Follow my intuition, trust myself, and have my own back.

  19. Judge: Notice how judging myself, others, or circumstances makes me less happy. Empathy feels better and is more rewarding.

  20. Fulfilled: Feel more alive, purposeful and fulfilled following my goals and dreams. Overall happier.

  21. Emotions: Process my emotions instead of burying or ignoring them. Learning to get comfortable being uncomfortable.

  22. Breathwork: use breathwork to calm my nervous system, be present and manage pain. Physiology affects our psychology.

  23.  Apply: Apply and integrate what I learn into my daily life. Learning isn’t enough. I have to apply, experiment, and practice.

  24. Gratitude: Cultivate gratitude and appreciate what I have. An abundance mindset is more productive than a scarcity mindset.

  25. Relationships: Recognize how my thoughts/beliefs about others determine how I perceive them and the quality of our relationship.

What does this list bring up for you? What areas might you want to work on in order to achieve your goals?
