Growth is hard.

Instinctively we gravitate towards seeking pleasure, avoiding pain and expending minimal effort.

It’s in our ancestral DNA. It’s how we survived for thousands of years and kept our species alive.

But if we want to evolve and grow, we have to be willing to overcome our desire for comfort and embrace discomfort. 

It requires managing our brain and learning how to tap into COURAGE to help us overcome our fear of stepping out of our comfort zone and into the next best version of ourselves.

Life coaching helped me recover from burnout in 2014 when work, parenting and personal commitments had me torn in a million directions. 

I hit rock bottom and quit a job that I loved because it was all too much.

I was exhausted, at wits end and resentful of many of the people I was trying to support in my life. 

I soothed my soul with wine, coffee and cupcakes. I worked out a lot to keep it all under control. 

To the outside everyone probably thought I was doing fine, but inside I was like “Is this it? There has to be more to my life than this?”

I hired a career coach and then I switched to a life coach. 

My career coach helped me leave my job professionally and set my replacement up for success. 

My life coach helped me learn how to take ownership of my problems instead of blaming them on others which got me back in the driver’s seat of my life. 

She helped me identify my limiting beliefs and tap into my inner wisdom on a more consistent basis. As a result, I gained the clarity and self-confidence I needed to change careers, establish healthy new habits and pursue my dreams. 

I stopped being the victim and became the hero of my own story.
