The Positive Intelligence (PQ) Mental Fitness program developed by Shirzad Chamine is one of the best frameworks I've come across for strengthening our ability to handle whatever life challenges come our way with more self-confidence, courage and grace.
A speaker on a parenting podcast today said "judgement steals our understanding." I shouted "Amen!" I see this play out every day in my life and those of my clients and friends.
Judgement blocks our ability to connect with ourselves, family, friends, colleagues and strangers. We judge ourselves for not being good enough, our kids for not living up to our expectations, our spouses for not making us happy enough, our colleagues for their subpar performances, and strangers for their stupidity online, etc. The list never ends.
Not only does this create negative feelings and energy for ourselves and others, it blocks connection. It limits our ability to listen and understand others fully, which is the foundation for finding sustainable solutions.
The PQ Mental Fitness program is very effective in helping us shine the light on our energy draining Judge (we all have one!), understanding how it negatively impacts us, and offering digestible tools for quieting it.
