What negative feelings do you hate to experience?

I dislike humiliation. But when I try to avoid it, it keeps me small.

Most of us resist, avoid or react to uncomfortable emotions, compounding our suffering and creating net-negatives in our lives. Like over-eating or over-drinking to escape feeling the discomfort.

But what if you got really CURIOUS about your feelings?

Where do you FEEL it in your body?

Does it have a color, shape or smell?

Feelings are simply vibrations in our bodies created by our thoughts.

Dig around for the thought that is causing it.

Without judgement, be the Watcher of your brain.

Breath into the discomfort and let the vibrations flow through you.

Feelings are harmless unless we act on them.

Only when we own the thought that is causing the feeling can we gain authority over it and start to realize we have a choice in the matter (if we want).

We may decide to keep it, but the point is to be intentional about it.

Allowing our emotions, versus resisting, avoiding or reacting to them is a skill worth cultivating.

It takes practice.

Start by bringing a sense of fascination and compassion to the process.
